UK investors looking overseas

UK investors looking overseas
//
Investors from the UK are increasingly looking overseas for assets to acquire, it has been suggested.

In light of the current economic conditions in the UK, more and more people are considering buying a property abroad and this is now true of around three per cent of the population.

The growing trend is thought to reflect an apparent lack of appetite among investors for buying property in Britain or acquiring stocks and shares on the London-based market.

Indeed, MGM Advantage reports that only 12 per cent of Britons now plan to buy a house in the UK and half this proportion intend to make stocks and shares investments in the country in the next 12 months.

Meanwhile, a recent study by the accountancy firm KPMG found that Britain is the most popular place in Europe for overseas corporate investments and the third in the world behind the US and China, the Financial Times reports.
