Lessons could help speculators profit from favourable markets

Stock market courses may help individuals make the most of a predicted six months of good acquisition opportunities.

Trevor Greetham, director of asset allocation at Fidelity International, says cooling growth could provide the perfect environment for speculators to make favourable purchases, as shares representing good value for money in 2010 might make significant gains next year.

Expected stronger performance in 2011 means traders who take stock exchange lessons now might be well-placed to capitalise on share fluctuations in the coming months.

The industry specialist comments: "Valuations are still good and I believe there will be good buying opportunities later in the year so investors … may find themselves presented with attractive entry points in the coming months."

His prognosis may be supported by news from Reuters yesterday (July 6th) that troubled mining company BP, having lost almost half its share value since the oil spill in April, gained 3.5 per cent over the day's trading.
