Early signs in the stock exchange market today (September 2nd) are that the FTSE 100 and the FTSE Small Cap index are both flat.

But the FTSE 250 has made a 0.4 per cent rise.

One of the biggest movers by mid-morning was Metal-Tech, which gained 11.5 per cent after it announced its interim results, Reuters reports.

The organisation - which produces and recycles speciality metals such as Tungsten and Molybdenum - revealed an increase in revenues and a reduction in losses thanks to a rise in the demand for Tungsten.

But it was not such positive news for Billing Services Group, which experienced a drop of more than ten per cent after its revenues were slightly less than the company had previously forecasted.

Stock exchange traders may like to note that the FTSE 100 rose by 1.5 per cent yesterday - an increase of 78.13 points at 5,303.35 - the news provider reported.
