Asian stock markets appeal to traders
//
Traders could turn towards Asian stock markets today (December 2nd), as the MSCI Asia Pacific Index jumped 1.5 per cent thanks to improving confidence in the global recovery.

Bloomberg reports strong economic data from the US combined with more positive sentiment related to the eurozone's public debt crisis, leading the regional stock market to its biggest gain in almost a month.

Spread betting traders may be among those attracted by the upward trend, as around four stocks rose for each one that fell.

Michiya Tomita, Hong Kong-based fund manager for Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management, commented: "The outlook for equities next year is optimistic as the macroeconomic picture is improving not just for the US but also for China."

US payrolls are expected to show the creation of 145,000 jobs last month, while China's Purchasing Managers' Index for November came in above expectations, further boosting trader confidence and leading to increased demand for financial shares and commodities.
